Application period open Wednesday 15 – Wednesday 29 January 2020
The five Clinical Commissioning Groups in North Central London (NCL CCGs) – Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington – are merging to form one CCG from April 2020.
In moving to a single NCL CCG, we will provide a single, strong and consistent vision and voice for our partners, and work cohesively as ‘one NHS’, delivering improved patient outcomes and reducing health inequalities.
A new Governing Body will be in place to lead the new CCG – consisting of elected and appointed Board Members. We are now looking for individuals to undertake the following three Governing Body Lay Member roles in the NCL CCG from 01 April 2020:
- Lay Member – Financial Management, Audit & Governance portfolio
- Lay Member – Patient & Public Engagement and Involvement portfolio
- Lay Member – General Portfolio, including Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and the annual QIPP programme
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about the NHS and have relevant experience of operating in a leadership role in large and complex organisations. Candidates should have an understanding of outcomes-based commissioning and have the interpersonal skills and political astuteness to build highly effective partnerships.
Crucially, we are looking for individuals who are motivated to be a key part of ensuring a successful new CCG for North Central London, which maximises the opportunities this will bring to delivering improved health outcomes to patients across North Central London.
More information, including role requirements and time commitment, is available on the NHS Job Website. (The job reference to search for these posts is 985-ICCG-550). Anyone wishing to be considered for more than one of the three lay roles can do this through a single application (stipulating which roles they are interested in).
It is envisaged interviews will take place in mid-February.
Finally, you may notice that in the advert – the employer is referenced as “Islington CCG”. This is for technical reasons as the NHS Jobs system does not allow an employer to be included that does not yet exist.
