North Central London CCGs Chief Officer and Accountable Officer starts on 3 April 2017

The five clinical commissioning groups in north central London (Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington) are pleased to announce that Helen Pettersen will start as the new Chief Officer and Accountable Officer for the north central London clinical commissioning groups on Monday 3 April 2017. Helen will also lead the delivery of the Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP).

Helen is currently the managing director of NEL Commissioning Support Unit. She is a well-respected and highly experienced leader who has held a variety of senior executive posts in the NHS including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive at NHS Islington. Helen also has significant experience in integrating health and social care services and has held a number of joint posts throughout her career. She started her career in the north west of England as an NHS management trainee and held a variety of roles in primary and community services prior to moving to lead a Housing Association. In 1995 she returned to the NHS in Tower Hamlets where she was Chief Executive of the Primary Care Group. Helen has a degree in Economics and is a qualified Coach and a member of the London NHS Coaching register.
