North Central London Joint Commissioning Committee
In July 2017 the Governing Bodies of NHS Barnet Clinical Commissioning Group, NHS Camden Clinical Commissioning Group, NHS Enfield Clinical Commissioning Group, NHS Haringey Clinical Commissioning Group and NHS Islington Clinical Commissioning Group established the NCL Joint Commissioning Committee (‘Committee’).
The Committee’s role is to jointly commission the following services as these are most effectively commissioned collaboratively across the five CCGs:
- All acute services including core contracts and other out of sector acute commissioning;
- All learning disability contracting associated with the Transforming Care programme;
- All integrated urgent care (including 111/ GP Out-of-Hours services)
- Any specialised services not commissioned by NHS England.
The Committee includes clinicians, lay members, senior NHS management staff, councillors, Healthwatch and Public Health.
Coming to meetings
Members of the public are very welcome to attend meetings and listen to the discussions and observe our decision-making process. However, it's important to note that although Governing Body and NCL Committee meetings are held in public, they are not 'public meetings'.
Members of the public can ask questions about Joint Commissioning Committee agenda items before the meeting. Meetings are usually held on a Thursday.
Questions relating to the agenda must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org by 12pm on the Monday before the meeting. We will endeavour to provide answers at the beginning of the meeting (in the ‘questions from the public’ agenda item), or in writing afterwards, depending on the number and complexity of questions we receive.
We have set a limit of three questions per individual or organisation. However, questions and feedback can, of course, also be submitted outside of our formal meetings through our normal communication channels via our contact us page.
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions relating to agenda items at the meeting during the ‘Questions from the public’ agenda item. This agenda slot will include questions asked in advance of the meeting and questions asked on the day, and will be managed at the Chair’s discretion within the time available.
Please note the meeting on December 5th has been cancelled to allow for election purdah rules and will now be held instead on 9 January 2020.
